“I was interested in the EPS programme and the possibility of dealing with administrative law, including environmental law, in practice. I am not the type of activist who would tie himself to trees or climb factory chimneys. However, with my work and knowledge of law I would like to contribute to the protection of the environment, and this is exactly what the EPS offers.”
Petr studied at the Faculty of Law at the Charles University and then at the Faculty of Law at the Masaryk University. He specialised in administrative law and human rights. In his thesis ”The Prohibition of Discrimination. An Analysis of the Problem in the EU and the Czech Republic“ he dealt with Czech anti-discrimination law. At present he is a post-graduate student in the Department of Legal Theory of the Faculty of Law at the Masaryk University in Brno, and at the same time employed by the EPS in the Responsible Energy programme.
He elaborates legal analyses related to protection of the environment and to building law. Within his post-gradual studies he deals with issues of the third generation’s human rights. He also attended the Human Rights School.
